LENART KRECIC– saxophone, assistant
to Billy Harper and Reggie Workman Lenart Krečič born in 1982 in
Ljubljana, Slovenia started playing piano at age 7. He switched to saxophone
at age 14, when he went to the high school. After two years he was enrolled
at the Music High School (received high honors in Jazz) and graduated in
2002. During studying at the Music High School he started performing with
European musicians in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Italy. During 2002
Jazzinty Summer Music Workshop in Novo Mesto, Slovenia Reggie Workman
suggested that he continues his studies at New York’s prominent The New School Jazz and Contemporary Music
Department, where he started his
studies in the fall of 2003. He currently studies with Billy Harper, Reggie
Workman, George Garzone etc.. He has appeared with Reggie Workman, Jason
Hwang, Chico Freeman, Wynard Harper, Awery Sharp, Benny Powel, Joe Chambers,
Billy Harper, Cecil Bridgewater, Yayoi Ikawa, Keyon Harold throughout Tri
State Area. LENART KREČIČ – saksafonist,
asistent Billiyju Harperju in Reggiju Workmanu Lenart Krečič, rojen leta 1982 v Ljubljani v Sloveniji, je začel svojo glasbeno pot z igranjem klavirja pri sedmih letih. Ob vpisu v gimnazijo je začel igrati saksofon. Dve leti za tem je bil sprejet na Oddelek za Jazzovsko glasbo na Srednji glasbeni in baletni šoli v Ljubljani, na kateri je maturiral iz glasbe leta 2002. Med šolanjem na Srednji Glasbeni šoli je začel nastopati z evropskimi glasbeniki po Sloveniji, Hrvaški, Srbiji in Italiji. Poleti 2002 ga je na delavnici Jazzinty v Novem Mestu Reggie Workman, profesor na New School University, povabil na študij v New York, kamor se je vpisal jeseni 2003. Lenart študira z Billyjem Harperjem, Reggiejem Workmanom, Georgeom Garzonom itd. Imel je že nekaj koncertov na katerih je sodeloval z glasbeniki: Reggie Workman, Jason Hwang, Chico Freeman, Wynard Harper, Awery Sharp, Benny Powel, Joe Chambers, Billy Harper, Cecil Bridgewater, Yayoi Ikawa, Keyon Harold v New Yorku in New Jerseyju. |
