KEVIN JONES – percussion,
composer At the age 16 he joined a professional African dance & drum ensemble under the direction of master drummer and dancer, Titos Sompas. Kevin attended the University of Massachusetts where he met professor Archie Shepp. Shepp encouraged Kevin’s musical aspirations and eventually hired him as a percussionist in his band and recorded Archie Shepp live at “Palais de Glace”. Kevin also recorded the same year with Alto Saxophone legend Charles McPherson; an album entitled “Free Bop”. Kevin then went on to recordings and tours with R&B legends “The Isley Brothers”. He also had the distinct privilege of touring with world-renowned singer, Whitney Houston. Kevin continued playing with many artists such as: Talib Kibwe, Winard Harper, Babatunde Lea, James Weidman and Clifford Adams. Pri svojih šestnajstih letih se je pridružil profesionalni skupini African Dance & Drum pod vodstvom plesalca in bobnarja Titosa Sompasa. Kevin se je vpisal na University of Massachussets, kjer se je srečal s profesorjem Archiejem Sheppom. Shepp je spodbujal Kevinova glasbena prizadevanja in ga končno najel kot tolkalista v svoji skupini ter z njim posnel ploščo »Archie Shepp live at Palais de Glace«. Isto leto je posnel ploščo z legendarnim altovskim saksofonistom Charlesom McPhersonom - album z naslovom »Free Bop«. Kevin je med drugim snemal plošče in igral na turnejah z
“The Isley Brothers” in tudi s svetovno znano pevko Whitney Houston. Kasneje je začel sodelovati z glasbeniki kot so: Talib Kibwe, Winard Harper, Babatunde Lea, James Weidman and Clifford Adams.
