DANCE

PERCUSSION, RAP, MOVEMENT (daily 45 / 75 minutes):

African rhythms, african songs, and original rhymed songs – RAP.
With playing on djimbes and congas, the participants will be able to learn basics from : Nkwanga, Ganza and Lambala. Each individual will submit an original RAP – which will be presented to the group.

HIP - HOP (daily 75 / 90 minutes):

Age: 9 to 14; 14 and up
Tom McKie analyzes Hip - Hop movement to its core. Hip - Hop culture which was originated in New York's Bronx has developed as dance and music at first through out United States and now the world; it is a reaction to systems in which we live.

CHOREOGRAPHY, MOVING THEATRE, DIGITAL CAMERA (5 days for 75/90 minutes): Maya Milenović Workman
Age: 9 to 14; 14 and up; space is limited – exchange with improvisation
Choreography is base of dance creation. Maya works with dancers, musicians, actors and future choreographers. By using daily studies (Space, time, duration, purpose and reason) and looking for self-creation (theme) and self movement expression (where we ask ourselves can we realy find an original movement). Digital camera is used as »third eye«. A choreographer will get a chance to work with a camera person, and look for exchange between movement and a picture.

MOVEMENT IMPROVISATION (4 days for 75 / 90 minutes):

Age: 9 to 14; 14 and up; space is limited - exchange with choreography
This workshop is for choreographers and dancers. First part researches body parts, movement, where is the movement originating from, and where it is going to. Themes: origination of movement, manipulation, authentic movement, concrete and unconcrete space, Laban's box , relationships between dancers, growth of response.

MOVEMENT, VISUAL ARTS, MUSIC, DIGITAL CAMERA (4 days for 2 hours):
Maya M. Workman, Igor Bezget, Lenart Krečič, Kevin Jones and guests – musicians
Age: 10 and up
This workshop is for choreographers, dancers, visual artists, video artists and musicians. The process of creativity comes every time from different artistic way.
Example: If a visual artist creates a shape / line / color, what does that mean to a dancer, choreographer, musician or video artist? What is the purpose and the point of this process?

MODERN DANCE (daily 75 / 90 minutes):
Patricia Zaretti
Age: 9 to 14; 14 and up
Basic movement tehnique is necessary for building individual's strength and flexibility, balance and movement indurance. With the base in Graham technique, Cunningham and Lemon, Patricia Zarettti looks for a dirrect way to find the center of the body in relation to movement.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT FOR CHILDREN (daily 45 / 60 minutes):

Age: 4 to 6; 6 to 9
Discovering our own movement in relation to sound, words, instruments, story and visual arts. These are basics for the development of a complete child. Every child owns their own talent and pride. We encourage this to develop and grow.

FINAL CONCERT: »THE EVENING OF MULTI DIMENSIONAL ARTS«
The final concert will be created under leadership of all professors at SNG Maribor. The evening will start with dance performance (all participants of Moving Theater and Choreography Laboratory will perform). Jazz concert will follow the dance performance.
